The Founding Chairman and CEO of CMC Holdings Limited and CMC Capital Partners, China’s most prestigious investment and operation platforms with an extensive portfolio of industry champions in media/entertainment, technology and consumer products across the entire spectrum of content, platform, technology and service. Li is a Non-Executive Director of marketing and communication group WPP, and a board director of artist agency CAA. He is also a member on the Board of Directors of Special Olympics. Li was Chairman and CEO of Shanghai Media Group, and Deputy Secretary General and Chief of Staff of Shanghai Municipal Government. Li has MA and BA degrees of journalism from Fudan University, and was a visiting scholar at Columbia University. He joined ShanghaiTech as Dean of School of Creativity and Art.
