Yang Rui

Director of Center for Adaptive System Engineering at the School of Creativity and Art; director of Shenyang Advanced Materials R & D Center, Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences; researcher and doctoral supervisor of the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Ph.D. from Cambridge University; Chief Scientist of Basic Problems with Performance Prediction, Scientific Basic Problems of Performance-Oriented Material Integrated Design and Basic Scientific Problems of Material Design Based on Integrated Computing. As a material technology expert, Yang Rui is committed to the research of lightweight high-strength, high-temperature metal materials and their near-net-forming technology, the research and development of new materials and component manufacturing technologies applied to national projects in the aviation, aerospace and deep-sea fields. Wei Bin

Distinguished professor of Center for Adaptive System Engineering, top expert in special equipment and industrial internet technology worldwide, with more than 30 years of experience in scientific research, production and management. His main research directions are: advanced manufacturing, additive manufacturing and industrial internet. Wei Bin has obtained 55 US and international patents, and he published 32 technical articles. He has many years of research and development teaching experience in international universities and companies; with his industrial background, he has the precise strategic vision. Wei Bin has served as the chief engineer of the global research and development center.

 

Research Interests: Closed-loop control of non-traditional manufacturing process of power equipment, automatic testing, digital manufacturing system, strategy and management system of manufacturing plan, industrial internet technology

Wu Yingna

Deputy Director and Researcher of Center for Adaptive System Engineering, Ph.D., Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences; research and development in the fields of high-temperature alloy protective coatings, metal additive manufacturing, blade repair technology for power equipment, special processing techniques, etc. Before joining ShanghaiTech University, she was the general manager of GE China Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Center. The team is led by GE Aviation, Energy, Oil and Gas, Medical Equipment and other business departments provide automation, digital solutions and intelligent solutions to improve the level of supply chain manufacturing, design and integration of manufacturing systems.


    


Xie Guangping

Researcher of Center for Adaptive System Engineering; chief researcher of GE China Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Center before joining ShanghaiTech University; Ph.D. from Tsinghua University; laser and optical instrument design, optical fiber sensing technology, laser and photoelectric test technology, robotics and industry research and development in the fields of automation.







Zhai Zirong

Researcher of Center for Adaptive System Engineering, Ph.D.from York University, UK. Before joining ShanghaiTech University, he worked at ANSYS China (as a senior engineer) and General Electric (China) Research and Development Center Co., Ltd. (as a senior scientist). He is committed to the research and development of metal additive manufacturing process development, process simulation, and structural optimization.






Zhang Zhenbo

Assistant professor and researcher of Center for Adaptive System Engineering, Ph.D. from the National Laboratory of Risoe / Danish Technical University (2015). Before joining ShanghaiTech University, he worked at the University of Manchester (2015-2019). He is committed to the multi-scale structural characterization and performance control of high-performance metal materials, mainly involving nickel-based superalloys, titanium alloys, and steel for nuclear power. He has published more than 20 academic papers in internationally renowned metal materials journals.





Ni Na

Associate Researcher of Center for Adaptive System Engineering, Ph.D / Postdoctoral Researcher, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Before joining ShanghaiTech University, she worked at Singapore A*STAR Information Technology Research Institute (as an associate researcher) and General Electric (China) Research and Development Center Co., Ltd. (as an architect). She has long been committed to research and development in the fields of digitalization of intelligent manufacturing, data platform architecture and data analysis.







    


Chang Hai

Senior engineer of Center for Adaptive System Engineering. Before joining ShanghaiTech University, he worked as a senior engineer in GE China research and development center and intelligent manufacturing technology center. His research and development projects involved the fields of additive manufacturing, optoelectronic materials, surface engineering, mechanical automation and petrochemicals.







Wang Weihao

Postdoctoral fellow of Center for Adaptive System Engineering, graduated from East China University of Science and Technology, Ph.D. from Shanghai Institute of Advanced Studies, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Before joining ShanghaiTech University, he was committed to the design and research of low-pollution combustion chambers for small gas turbines. His main research directions are the simulation of molten pool flow in the process of additive manufacturing and the integrated 3D printing design of micro-small gas turbine structures and functions.
