An English-Chinese bilingual writer and screenwriter based in Shanghai. She received an M.F.A. in Screenwriting from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Yijun has worked for Hollywood veteran producer Joe Roth's Roth Films (xXx series, Maleficent, Alice in Wonderland) on China-U.S. feature co-production as story analyst. Airborne, the short film she wrote, won the Best Picture at the 2019 SVA Film Festival.
She teaches screenwriting and storytelling at ShanghaiTech University's School of Creativity and Art. Her courses include Storytelling & Presentation (aka. Screenwriting 101), Script Analysis, and U.S. & U.K. Television Analysis. Currently, she is also developing two spec scripts and authoring a book.
As the bridge between the East and the West, She integrates her Hollywood film education, her Shanghai marketing expertise, and her cross-cultural insights to keep creating diverse stories with great potential.
