As a postdoctoral fellow of Center for Adaptive System Engineering (CASE), he graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Ph.D. in materials science and won a scholarship from China Scholarship Council (CSC). During his Ph.D., he was engaged in titanium alloy characterization and micro-mechanical property testing, and published 7 papers. In the Center for Adaptive System Engineering of ShanghaiTech University, he is mainly responsible for the regulation and characterization of titanium alloy micro-structure based on 3D printing, mechanical property testing and analysis.
